When Ricky first came to the farm Bella was friendly and tried to be a motherly figure towards Ricky while Hec didn’t want anything to do with him. Ricky tried to get to know him but Hec wanted nothing to do with Ricky. Heading into the film Hec started to soften up. He would only talk to Ricky if he had to. They still did not get along. Soon Hec started to open up to Ricky and was more talkative. Then the police chase happened leaving Ricky and Hec needing to talk and be completely open to each other. Soon after Ricky and Hec use a Ute to run from the cops and find the freedom. After awhile of the chase Ricky crashes the Ute into a car yard. Hec said they should just turn themselves in while Ricky said they should keep running. They start arguing and then the people find them. Hec gets arrested and goes to prison leaving their relationship completely shattered. In some time Ricky starts to get along with along with Hec and their good relationship comes back.
